Business Lending Portfolio Manager and Underwriter

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is accepting applications for a full-time Business Lending Portfolio Manager and Underwriter to join our team. This role is responsible for various aspects of the business loan work flow, including the analyzing and decisioning of business loans, the renewal of existing business loans, portfolio management, and other ongoing credit management.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Manage existing portfolio through business reviews, analysis, and other ongoing credit management.
Underwrite and decision new business loans, including participations.
Complete joint outside calls, as needed, with Relationship Managers and Business Relationship Managers.
Manage receipt of business financials and other documents for new and existing business loans.
Upload new business loans to the system and maintenance existing business loans.
Assist in resolution of business loan issues and help with collection on business loans in default.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To help meet strategically aligned targets for volume and growth in the business lending area.
2. To underwrite new and existing business loans accurately and efficiently.
3. To ensure overall portfolio performance and asset quality remain strong and develop strategies to resolve
issues that could increase risk and/or create a loss for the credit union.
4. To proactively demonstrate the 1st Advantage FCU core values of integrity, trustworthiness, teamwork and
excellence for all members and colleagues.
Qualifications:
At least 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience.
Bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent experience.
Ability to produce a high volume of work in a very fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to analyze large amounts of data quickly and accurately.
Strong analytical skills, using solid judgment and ingenuity in decisions.
Must be good with detail, numbers and have good organization and interpersonal skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of this job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
