Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Will be responsible for administering and securing UNIX/LINUX servers in a DoD/Navy environment
+ Will be responsible for administering and securing SQL Server
+ Will be eventually (within 6 months) be responsible for administering and securing systems in the AWS Gov Cloud
+ Will be eventually (within 6 months) be responsible for provisioning cloud resources such as VMs, storage, network, security, load balancing, etc. in cloud environments and working with service provider to resolve issues and meet security requirements
+ Will be responsible for utilizing ACAS, SCAP, Nessus, Vulnerator, VRAM and others
+ Will be responsible for compiling Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), as well as for developing and executing POA&Ms to mitigate risks
+ Will be responsible for hardened systems using DISA STIGs and STIG Viewer
+ Will be responsible to analyze information security posture and develop security measures to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data
+ Will work with CUI/CDI/PII
+ Will be responsible for supporting the RMF assessment and authorization process with other SAs and team members using eMass
+ Will be responsible for baselining and maintaining configuration control of systems as part of an overall configuration management plan/process
+ Will be responsible for working with other SAs to develop performance metrics and analysis
+ Will be responsible to automate tasks with scripts
+ Will be responsible for working as part of a team to comply with audit requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree. Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of specialty preferred.
+ Equivalent education and experience combined can substitute as follows:
An educational equivalency of four (4) additional years? experience in a comparable assignment (i.e., performing the same or similar function) may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
+ At least six (6) years? experience in UNIX systems administration and Infrastructure management, at least 4 of which are in a DoD or federal agency.
+ Prefer at least one years? experience with remote administration of systems hosted in a data center or cloud environment (AWS Gov Cloud preferred)
+ Experience with Systems Security Plans (SSP), preferably RMF, and selecting, implementing and monitoring NIST Security Controls
+ Must meet DOD 8570.0I requirements for an IAT III designated position as follows:
+ IAT Level III Certification
+ Must have UNIX or LINUX OS Certification
+ Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
