Operations Support Assistant

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is accepting applications for a part-time Operations Support Assistant. This role will provide administrative support for the Operations area. This is a diversified job and the major responsibilities require research, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and managers throughout the organization. The schedule will consist of approximately 25 hours per week.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Provide assistance in reporting and record-keeping of documents involving new accounts, loans and account maintenance to comply with Credit Union policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Provide feedback to Operations Manager and management team if discrepancies are found. Follow up on unsolved discrepancies on a regular basis.
Works with Operations Manager and acts as back up for the Dunbar Vault responsibilities to include, ordering cash for branch vaults, reviewing transactions, and balancing. Notify proper manager if branch limits are exceeded or if any discrepancies are noted.
Assists in report validation and necessary record management. The operations area is involved in many software and system updates and upgrades resulting in the need for data cleanup, testing and or reporting.
Support Operations Manager in assigned projects related to Credit Union operations. Perform all tasks assigned with accuracy and offer recommendations to assist with project completion when applicable.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To meet required deadlines for completing OFAC reviews.
2. To complete Dunbar Vault assigned work including balancing on a daily basis.
3. To maintain open communication between credit union and security providers.
4. To complete assigned time sensitive reporting and tasks within the required time frames.
5. To proactively demonstrate the 1st Advantage FCU core values of integrity, trustworthiness, teamwork and excellence for all members and colleagues.
6. To maintain a work environment and businesslike appearance. Uphold the 1A standards.
Qualifications:
At least 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience
A high school education or GED
Excellent organizational skills, typing, Microsoft Office, Outlook, a current driver's license, attention to detail, experience with Track-it and Vernit are preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
