Job Title: Staffing Coordinator
Reports to Human Resources
Staffing Coordinator's job duties include but not limited to, creating job descriptions, reviewing resumes, identifying qualified applicants, scheduling interviews, finding appropriate job placements, and retaining valuable employees. These professionals must have a broad knowledge of the legal implications related to hiring, retention, and termination, including, but not limited to, Equal Employment Opportunity laws, employment contracts, and background investigations.
Staffing coordinators must possess both effective written and interpersonal communications skills, since they will be working closely with job applicants, employees, and to ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed. Additionally, they must be able to work well under pressure and have the capability to work discreetly with highly confidential information such as salaries and employment records. While being able to manage wage control, HR department budget and effectively be able to analysis and report department metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain staffing operations across the board
- Uphold accurate tracking system for staff over a variety of shifts
- Coordinate staff to meet the organization's requirements
- Monitor overtime accumulation and attendance of employees
- Assist the human resource department with interviews and orientations
- Provide facility orientation to newly hired employees
- Coordinate employee training
- Conduct competency checks on new and existing employees
- Maintain schedules for rotating staff
- Secure coverage for vacant and abandoned shifts
- Work with the payroll manager to verify payroll accuracy
- Manage Employee Files
- Manage employee concerns
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Eighteen (18) Years of age
2. Be able to work in Virginia
3. Clear background (Position Subject to Background Check and drug test)
4. Valid Driver's License
5. Protectant with Excel, And Microsoft Word
6. Basic Math skills
7. Strong Organizational and problem solving skills
8. Reliable Transportation

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
